March Hare Archers held their annual Halloween shoot on Saturday 24th October and some 31 archers attended.  From comments received the round was well up to standard with 2 superb Orcs, a Viking, Dead Fred and a Bog monster.  Also mentioned by many archers was the kitchen (Rob and Salvie in charge) who really excelled themselves with many archers going for second helpings.
The shoot was attended by archers from across the West Midlands, and a bit further North, who came from all disciplines of archery (Archery GB, EFAA and NFAS) to enjoy a fun day with good company and good food.  Long may such continue.  Should any attending archer wish to be reminded of their score, just drop us a note!

Some 35 archers from across the West Midlands enjoyed a Help4Heroes fun shoot at March Hare Archers today.  In addition to a challenging and fun course, the weather was great, the company was good and we had a grandstand view of the Airshow next door.  Big thanks are due to the catering team lead by Rob and Salvie Hayman who did sterling service and to those members who made targets for this year namely Pug Molloy, Pete Love and Paul Duncan ranging from ‘Shoot the Fokker’ to the ‘Viking Warrior’ and to the members who put them out and brought them back.  The club depends on volunteers such as these and our thanks are due to them and all others who helped us have a great day.  Richard Hardcastle Secretary March Hare Archers.

The club held our first 2014 March Hare Archers For All Fun Shoot on Saturday 5th April 2014. We had archers from 3 associations and 5 clubs taking part.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy the day, and it was a big bonus that the light rain held off until after the shoot finished.
A special thank you for all members who not only helped out on the day, but also helped in setting up the course.
Please see the gallery for more pictures of the day.

A busy day at Throckmorton as over forty archers from various clubs attended the MHFA Halloween fun shoot on Saturday 25 October 2014.  The weather stayed dry as a very friendly bunch of archers from various clubs went around the various vampire, bat and zombie targets.  The flu flu shots at the pumpkin were especially challenging (especially for the compound archers!).

Attending clubs were:-

  • South Birmingham Archers
  • Lawton Archers
  • NFAS
  • Evesham Archers
  • Welsh Field Archery Association
  • March Hare Archer

Hot food and drinks was provided by Andy Wilkes, Chris Busby, Matt W, Paul Duncan, Pug, Robert & Salvie Hayman, Richard Hardcastle and Steve Martin, so many thanks to them, and to those who helped prepare and set up the targets, which made this such a fun event.

CWAA (County of Warwickshire Archery Association) championships were held on Sunday 23rd March 2014.

This is the 2nd year held at March Hare Archers with around 30 archers taking part.
